Gnocchi with gorgonzola cheese cream sauce recipe details
Ingredients
400 g | gnocchi, fresh |
4 tbsp | butter |
200 g | cream |
200 g | Roquefort cheese, crumbled |
pepper, to taste | |
nutmeg, to taste | |
16 leaves | basil, for decoration |
Instructions
Melt butter in a saucepan, add cream and gorgonzola and stir until well blended adding pepper and a touch of nutmeg to taste. Set aside, keep warm.Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil.
Drop in the gnocchi. Let the water return to a boil and cook gnocchi until they float to the top.
Remove the gnocchi and place in a warmed bowl. Add Cream Sauce and gently toss to coat well.
Place on warmed plates, decorate with fresh basil leaves.
Serve immediately.
It goes well with pasta too. The gorganzola can be substituted with any other blue cheese.
