Ginger chicken fried rice recipe details
Easy fried rice for the beginning cook. Includes all the fresh ingredients of Chinese restaurant fried rice.

Ingredients
Serves: 2- 2 teaspoons canola oil
- 1 egg, beaten
- 1/4 cup chopped red bell pepper
- 1 tablespoon chopped green onion
- 1 garlic clove, minced
- 1 cup cold cooked instant rice
- 1/4 cup cubed cooked chicken
- 1 to 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 1/2 teaspoon ground ginger
- 1 tablespoon shredded carrot
Preparation method
Prep: 10 mins | Cook: 15 mins1. Pour 1 teaspoon oil into a skillet and place over medium-high heat. Add egg to skill and cook without stirring to form an omelet. Tilt skillet and let uncooked egg run underneath cooked portion, repeating until egg is set. Transfer to plate and chop coarsely into bite-sized pieces.
2. Pour remaining oil into the skillet and bring to temperature. Cook pepper and onion in hot oil for about 6 minutes, then add garlic and continue to saute for 1 more minute.
3. Add rice, chicken, soy sauce, ginger, and chopped egg. Stir until all ingredients are hot. Serve sprinkled with carrot.
