German Pears (Pears A L�Allemande) Recipe details
Ingredients1. Pears (6 to 8)
2. gelatin (1/2 oz)
3. yolk of (1egg)
4. butter (2 oz)
5. sugar (for sprinkling)
Method of preparation
1. Take pears, wash them, peel them and then cut them in any shape and then dip them in cold water to prevent them turning black.
2. Take a saucepan, put the pears in it and then cover them with cold water. Keep them to boil with butter and sugar according to taste to make them sweet. Cook pears until they become tender and then brush them with an egg yolk.
3. Sprinkle the sifted sugar over the pears and then place them on a dish. Now add gelatin in the syrup and keep it to boil for about 5 minutes and then strain it over the pears. Keep it for few minutes until it gets set. You can add red food color in the syrup to improve the appearance of dish. Now the German pear is ready to serve.
