Garlic pesto cheeseburgers recipe details

Ingredients
Serves: 4- 4 cloves garlic, peeled
- 1/3 cup fresh basil leaves
- 2 tablespoons pine nuts
- 3/4 cup plus 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 onion, thinly sliced
- 1 pound ground beef
- 3/4 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes
- Salt
- 4 slices of your favorite cheese
- 4 kaiser rolls, split
Preparation method
Prep: 20 mins | Cook: 10 mins1. Preheat grill to high heat and lightly oil grate.
2. Place garlic in a food processor; pulse to chop. Add basil and pine nuts to the food processor, then turn the processor on. Pour in 1/2 cup olive oil while the processor is running.
3. Pour 1/4 cup olive oil into a skillet and place over medium heat. Cook onion in hot oil for about 15 minutes to brown.
4. Stir crushed red pepper and 1 teaspoon salt into the ground beef in a mixing bowl. Form into 4 patties.
5. Grill patties for about 10 minutes, flipping midway through cooking time. Melt cheese on top of each patty during the last few minutes of cooking, and toast the buns on the grill.
6. Place pesto, a burger, and onions in each roll. Serve.
