Fruity waffle towers recipe details
Ingredients
85 g | butter, soft |
2 tbsp | sugar |
50 g | sugar |
2 pack(s) | vanilla sugar |
1 pinch(es) | salt |
2 medium | eggs |
175 g | flour |
1 tsp | baking powder |
1 ½ tbsp | cocoa powder |
100 ml | milk |
2 sheet(s) | gelatin |
250 g | sour cream |
100 g | whipping cream |
2 | grapefruits, peeled and diced |
1 | banana |
1 tbsp | lemon juice |
Instructions
Mix together the butter, 2 tablespoons of sugar, half of the vanilla sugar and the salt. Beat in the eggs. Sift in the flour, baking powder and the cocoa powder. Pour in the milk. Stir until well combined.Preheat the waffle iron. Grease the iron. Bake four waffles.
Soak the gelatin in water. Mix together the sour cream, the remaining vanilla sugar and sugar. Mix together the squeezed out gelatine and 3 tablespoons of the cream mixture. Stir this into the remaining cream. Whip the cream until stiff, then fold in the sour cream mixture. Cool until the cream starts to set.
Peel and slice the banana and turn the pieces in lemon juice. Spread each waffle with ¼ of the cream. Top with some pieces of grapefruit and banana. Top with a second waffle. Repeat the procedure until all ingredients are used up.
Allow to cool for an hour before serving.
