Fruity sauce for poultry or venison recipe details
Ingredients
1 | lemon, grated peel |
1 | orange, grated peel |
4 tbsp | redcurrant jelly |
4 tbsp | port |
1 tsp | mustard powder |
1 tsp | ginger powder |
Instructions
In a saucepan combine lemon peel and orange peel and a little water. Bring to a boil and cook over low heat for 5 minutes. Strain through a sieve and keep the blanched peel.In a pan combine the redcurrant jelly with the port and heat, but donít allow to boil. Whisk in the juice of the orange and of half a lemon, the citrus peel, mustard and ginger.
Serve with poultry or venison.
