Fruit compote recipe details
- Ingredients Sauce:
- 1/3 cup sugar
- 2 Tablespoons cornstarch
- 3/4 cup pineapple juice
- 1/2 cup orange juice
- 2 Tablespoons lemon juice
- Fruit Mixture:
- 20 ounces pineapple chunks
- 11 ounces mandarin oranges
- 3 to 4 apples, diced
- 2 to 3 bananas, sliced
- 1/2 cup cherries or grapes, for color
- Other fruits in season, if desired
Add sauce ingredients together and cook until thickened, stirring constantly. Put aside to cool. Add fruit when cooled. Fruits, such as bananas and apples, will not turn their color in this sauce.
