Fried rice with pork or turkey peas and corn recipe details
Ingredients
250 g | pork cutlets, boneless or turkey breast cutlets |
420 g | rice |
1 large can(s) | sweet peas |
1 large can(s) | corn |
1 | red bell pepper |
250 g | button mushrooms, sliced (fresh or 1 can) |
1 medium | onion |
some | salt and pepper |
some | paprika powder |
some | curry powder |
2 tbsp | vegetable oil |
Instructions
Cook rice in plenty of salted water for 20 – 25 minutes until done.While cooking rice, cut pepper in half, take out seeds and wash. Pat dry and cut into small dice (about the size of a pea). Cut meat into strips.
Season the meat with salt, pepper, paprika powder and curry.
In a big pot, heat vegetable oil and cook meat in small batches until done. Take meat out and cover.
Peel and dice the onion and sauté it in the same pot. Add mushrooms and sauté as well.
Drain the cooked rice and add it to the pot. Return the meat to the pot and add corn and peas. Mix well, seasoning with some more salt, pepper, curry and paprika powder and serve.
