Fried polenta recipe details
Ingredients
500 ml | chicken stock |
500 ml | water |
240 g | polenta |
olive oil, for frying |
Instructions
Bring stock and water to the boil in a large saucepan. Add slowly and gradually polenta stirring constantly. Continue cooking polenta, stirring for a further 10 minutes.Lightly oil a lamington pan (30 cm x 20 cm) and line with baking paper, letting extend on two sides.
Pour polenta into pan, cover with baking paper and refrigerate until firm and set.
Remove from pan and cut into pieces of your choice.
Shallow fry in hot oil until golden. Drain on paper towel and serve e.g. with Italian meatballs in tomatosauce.
