First farm inn details
- Ingredients to place in bread maker
- 1-1/8 cups water
- 1 Tablespoon olive oil
- 1 Tablespoon honey
- 1-1/2 teaspoons dry yeast
- 3 cups flour
- Healthy substitute:
- 1 cup oatmeal
- 1 cup whole wheat flour
- 1 cup white flour
- 2 teaspoons dry yeast
Set bread maker on dough cycle. After cycle is complete, remove from bread maker and place on floured baking sheet. Stretch and shape to form long loaf. You can cover and refrigerate over night or place in cool oven and let rise while oven preheats. Sprinkle with poppy seeds if desire. You can add Italian herbs also, parsley, basil, oregano and/or garlic powder (or substitute entire salt portion with garlic salt.)
Hard crust: Bake at 410 degrees for 20-30 minutes. Soft crust, bake at 350 for about 30 minutes. (Will not brown much.) Slice immediately and serve warm with butter or olive oil and balsamic vinegar for dipping.
