Escalopes au gratin with onion and herb crust recipe details
Ingredients
4 | escalopes of turkey breast, approx. 150g each |
2 tbsp | oil |
salt and pepper | |
400 g | mushrooms, sliced |
100 g | single cream |
75 g | crispy fried onions |
3 sprig(s) | marjoram |
3 sprig(s) | thyme |
3 tbsp | breadcrumbs |
150 g | grated Cheddar cheese |
Instructions
Rinse the meat and pat dry. Heat oil in a large skillet and sear the escalopes from both sides. Season with salt and pepper. Arrange the escalopes side by side in a large casserole dish.Preheat the oven to 200°C.
Place the mushrooms into the skillet and sear in the remaining oil until slightly browned. Season with salt and pepper. Pour in the single cream and 2-3 tablespoons of water. Cook stirring for a minute. Pour the mushroom sauce over the turkey escalopes.
Rinse the thyme and the marjoram and pick the leaves from the stems. Combine the marjoram, thyme, breadcrumbs and cheese. Sprinkle the esalopes with fried onions and the breadcrumb mixture
Bake for approximately 20 minutes or until golden brown.
