Ready in: 1 hour

Ingredients

Serves: 8
  • 2 cups egg nog
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 8 slices raisin bread – cut into 1 inch slices
  • topping:
  • 1 cup whipping cream
  • 3 tablespoons powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon brandy or rum extract (if desired)

Preparation method

Prep: 20 mins | Cook: 40 mins

1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Spray a 2 qt. baking dish with vegetable cooking spray.
2. In large bowl, combine egg nog, sugar, eggs, nutmeg, and vanilla. Blend until smooth. Fold in bread cubes. Pour into prepared dish.
3. Bake for 40-45 minutes, or until knife inserted comes out clean.
4. Serve warm, topped with whipped cream topping.
