Don's pig cooking sauce recipe details
Sauce to barbecue whole hogs (pigs) on grill or in pits.

Ingredients
Makes: 1 gallon- 1 (1 gallon) container Apple cider vinegar
- 1 (15 ounce) bottle ketchup
- 1/4 cup black pepper
- 1/4 cup crushed red pepper
- 1 (15 ounce) bottle Worchestershire sauce
- 1 (6 ounce) bottle Texas Pete(R) hot sauce
- 1/4 cup salt
Preparation method
Prep: 30 mins | Extra time: 7 days1. Pour about 1/2 of vinegar into a non-metallic container.
2. Add all the other ingredients into the half-empty gallon bottle of vinegar.
3. Pour back remaining vinegar into bottle until filled, screw top back on container, and shake to combine.Alternate method
I will make this sauce about one week ahead of time, this sauce is used to mop on pig while cooking. reserve some to add to chopped barbecue also.
