Dolmades details
- Ingredients:
- 1 large jar grape leaves
- 1 cup rice
- 6 onions, chopped finely
- 1-2 cups minced fresh dill
- 1 cup olive oil
- 1/2 cup lemon juice
- 1 teaspoon salt
In large skillet, combine all ingredients and cook in olive oil over low heat for 30 minutes. Add lemon juice toward the end of cooking time. Fill and roll leaves and place in 4-quart (or larger) heavy duty pot. Arrange firmly in 3 layers maximum. Allow for expansion but if too loose they will unroll. Add water to cover and cook (simmer) one hour.
