Not a full Rye flour taste! Has a bit of sweet taste because of the Honey. Also has a bit of cornmeal taste. Low salt, no white flour! Very good warm with butter. Also good toasted!

Ingredients
Serves: 16- 2 cups luke warm water
- 1/2 cup honey
- 4 Tablespoons shortening
- 1 1/2 cups Wheat flour
- 2 Tablespoons cornmeal
- 3/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 cup Coffeemate(R) powder
- 2 packages active dry yeast
- 4 cups Dark Rye flour
Preparation method
Prep: 30 mins | Cook: 45 mins | Extra time: 2 hours, rising1. Place lukewarm water, honey, and shortening in a bowl. Stir until mixed.
2. Place Wheat flour, corn meal, salt, Coffeemate powder, and yeast in a bowl and mix real good!
3. Combine all ingredients along with Rye flour into 1 bowl. Mix and knead for 8 to 10 minutes. You want a soft dough that is not sticky. Heat microwave for 2 minutes. With microwave OFF, place dough mixture in microwave and let rise until double! Deflate! Place dough into 2 greased loaf pans and let rise again until double. Then place into pre-heated oven, and bake at 375 degrees for 45 minutes. Let stand for 10 minutes after baking. Enjoy!
