Diy burritos recipe details
These deconstructed burritos will be a hit at lunch or even dinner parties. Lots of sauteed seasoned beef and chicken with beans and chipotle hot sauce really hit the Mexican spot in anyone’s belly!

Ingredients
Serves: 16- Spice Rub
- 2 teaspoons ground cumin
- 2 teaspoons ground cayenne pepper
- 2 teaspoons ground chili powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- Chipotle Sauce
- 1/2 tablespoon olive oil
- 2 (7 ounce) cans chipotle peppers in adobo sauce
- 2 teaspoons brown sugar
- 1/2 cup honey
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 pound beef loin steak, cut into strips
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts – cut into 1 inch cubes
- 1 (16 ounce) can refried beans
- 2 packages flour tortillas
- 1 head iceberg lettuce, chopped
- 3/4 cup sour cream
Preparation method
Prep: 40 mins | Cook: 20 mins1. Combine the cumin, cayenne, chili powder, and salt in small bowl.
2. Place chicken and steak in two separate bowls and toss each with spice mixture.
3. Heat the oil on medium high; add the chipotle peppers and simmer for five minutes.
4. In food processor, process the warm chipotle mixture, brown sugar, and honey until creamy.
5. Heat 1 tablespoon vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add steak strips; cook and stir until cooked to your liking. Transfer meat to a serving bowl and set aside.
6. Pour 1 tablespoon vegetable oil into the skillet. Add chicken pieces; cook and stir until chicken is cooked through. Transfer chicken to a serving bowl and set aside.
7. Heat the refried beans in a small pot until hot.
8. Serve the fajitas with tortillas, lettuce, sour cream, and chipotle sauce.
