Something I whipped up one night for the in-laws. It was inspired by, and based loosely, on several other recipes I have seen. Fairly basic but terrifically tasty!
Ready in: 31 mins
Ingredients
Serves: 4- 3 large cloves of garlic, finely minced
- Thumb-size (2 – 2 1/2 inch) ginger, peeled and finely minced
- 1 green onion, chopped
- 1/3c. olive oil
- juice of 1/2 lemon
- juice of 1/2 orange
- 1 tbsp. dark soy sauce
- decent splash of red-hot sauce, to taste
- 2 lbs. fresh prawns, peeled and de-veined
- Bamboo skewers
Preparation method
Prep: 10 mins | Cook: 6 mins | Extra time: 15 mins, marinating1. Soak bamboo skewers in cold water during preparation of the marinade.
2. Combine first 8 ingredients in a large, non-reactive, bowl or a large plastic freezer bag.
3. Add prawns and marinate 15 to 30 minutes. Stir or agitate a couple of times to ensure all prawns get completely coated.
