Delicious scones details
- Ingredients:
- 2 cups white flour
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 cup shortening
- 1 egg
- 1 cup sour cream
Mix flour, sugar, salt, baking soda, and shortening with fork until small mealy clumps appear (like pie crust dough). Then add 1 cup of sour cream and the egg, mix, and then knead until mixed. Flatten dough and add fresh fruit, or spread with any jams. Add currants, raisins, or sliced apple with cinnamon and sugar mix. Fold together and cut wedges and place on greased pan. Bake at 400 degrees for 15 minutes.
