Deep fried pike fillets recipe details
Ingredients
4 | pike fillets, washed, pat dry, cut into serving size pieces |
700 ml | milk |
3 medium | eggs |
320 g | corn meal |
100 g | flour |
oil for frying | |
salt and pepper, to taste |
Instructions
Combine 500 ml of milk and some salt. Place fillets inside and leave to soak for at least 2 hours. Pat dry.Heat the oil in a deep pan.
In a bowl combine the eggs and remaining cup of milk. Combine corn meal, flour, salt and pepper in another bowl.
Dip the pike in the egg mixture and then roll in the flour mixture.
Carefully lay the fish in the pan with the hot oil. Cook until golden brown. Do not turn. Dry on paper towel.
Serve with fresh lemon and tartar sauce.
