Dave's ginger onion dressing recipe details
This dressing / sauce is versatile and is great used as an asian salad dressing, topping for sushi/sashimi (most white fish or fatty fishes), and also can bring a twist to some cooked dishes as well. This sauce also works great as a steak marinade!

Ingredients
Makes: 2 cups- 1/4 cup chopped fresh ginger
- 1/2 cup chopped onion
- 1 tablespoon chopped garlic
- 1/2 cup soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon sugar
- 2/3 cup sake or white wine
- 1/4 cup mirin
- 1 small diced carrot
- 1/4 cup diced apple
Preparation method
Prep: 30 mins | Cook: 15 hours1. Combine all ingredients in a medium saucepan and bring to a boil. Reduce heat to medium-low and simmer for 5 minutes. Cool to a manageable temperature and blend the entire mix using a tabletop blender or hand blender. Use immediately or refrigerate for up to two weeks.
