Dark and white apricot waffle heart sandwiches recipe details
Ingredients
75 g | butter |
175 g | flour |
3 tbsp | sugar |
½ tsp | baking powder |
1 pinch(es) | salt |
200 ml | milk |
2 medium | eggs |
1 tbsp | cocoa powder |
500 g | fresh apricots, pitted and diced |
250 g | whipped cream |
1 pack(s) | vanilla sugar |
2 tsp | icing sugar |
oil |
Instructions
Melt the butter. In a bowl mix the flour with 2 tablespoons of sugar, the baking powder and the salt. Whisk in the eggs, the milk and the butter. Whisk until smooth and well combined. Divide the batter in 2 equal parts and stir the cocoa powder into one part.Heat a heart shaped waffle iron and brush with oil. Bake dark and white waffles.
Fold the remaining sugar and the vanilla sugar into the whipped cream. Spread the dark waffles with the cream. Top with apricots and cover with the white waffles.
Serve dusted with icing sugar.
