Danish gingerbread recipe details
Ingredients
250 g | all purpose flour, sifted |
175 g | butter |
150 g | sugar |
1 tsp | cocoa powder |
½ tsp | white pepper |
1 tsp | ground cinnamon |
1 pinch(es) | freshly grated nutmeg |
1 pinch(es) | ground cardamom |
To glaze: | |
some | icing |
Instructions
Knead all ingredients to a dough. Shape to a ball, wrap with foil and refrigerate for about 30 minutes.Cut the dough into 4 parts. Shape each to a sausage. Cut into 1cm slices.
Place the cookies onto a baking tray lined with parchment paper and bake at 175°C for 10 minutes.
Leave on a wire rack to cool down and glaze with the icing.
