|240 ml||freshly brewed coffee|
Dissolve soda in coffee.
Cream together shortening and sugar. Add egg, molasses, salt, cinnamon, cloves and ginger. Add coffee soda and add alternately with flour.
Preheat oven to 180°C.
Pour into a baking pan and bake for about 40-45 minutes.
