Like a long bomb on 3rd and short, this recipe has a bit of a surprise–a taste of curry powder and mustard.

Ingredients
Serves: 14- 2 pounds ground beef
- 3 (14 ounce) cans pinto beans, drained
- 1 large onion, chopped
- 3 garlic cloves, minced
- 2 tablespoons chili powder
- 2 teaspoons Italian seasoning
- 2 teaspoons ground mustard
- 1 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes
- 1 teaspoon curry powder
- 1 teaspoon seasoned salt
- 6 cups water
- 1 (14 ounce) can diced tomatoes, undrained
- 1 (6 ounce) can tomato paste
Preparation method
Prep: 10 mins | Cook: 1 hour 40 mins1. In a Dutch oven or heavy large saucepan, brown the beef over medium heat for about 10 minutes, until cooked through.
2. Add remaining ingredients, except for tomatoes and tomato paste, and bring to a boil. Simmer on low for 1 1/2 hours.
3. Add tomatoes and tomato paste to the pot, stir, and heat for another 10 minutes. Serve.
