1. Bisquick (1 1/4c)
2. salt (1/2tsp)
3. chopped onion (1/2c)
4. sliced celery (1/2c)
5. fresh chopped parsley leaves (2tbsp)
6. cornmeal (1/3c)
7. red hot pepper sauce (1tsp or to taste)
8. chili powder (1tsp)
9. vegetable juice cocktail (1/2c)
10. diced potatoes (2c)
11. cooked and cubed chicken (2c)
12. chicken broth (14 ounces)
13. frozen and cut green beans (9 ounces)
14. milk (2/3c)
15. shredded cheddar cheese (2/3c)
Method of preparation
1. Take frozen beans, place them in colander and then pour hot water over the beans to thaw them. Then place the beans in the Crock-pot.
2. Add chicken broth, onion, celery, potatoes, chicken, chili powder, hot pepper sauce and salt in it. Cover the pot and cook it for about 4 hours over low heat. Turn the heat to high and cook it until it gets bubbly. Add water in the pot if needed.
3. Take a bowl, mix cornmeal, bisquick, parsley and ½ cup of cheese in it and add milk and then mix it well. Now drop this mixture with tablespoon into the stew. Cover the pot and again cook it for 2 ½ hours. Dust the left over cheese over the dumplings.
