Cranberry sauerkraut with minced meat and noodles recipe details
Ingredients
1 tbsp | oil |
1 | onion |
300 g | ground beef |
500 g | sauerkraut |
1 | bay leave |
1 l | broth |
2 tbsp | hot pepper paste, (Biber Salcasi from a Turkish shop) |
300 ml | cranberry juice |
1 handful | cranberries, dried |
salt | |
20 | black peppercorns |
black pepper, freshly ground | |
caraway seeds | |
sugar | |
250 g | pasta |
some | sour cream |
Instructions
Sauté chopped onion in oil, add meat and fry until crumbly.Add sauerkraut and some broth, bay leaf, cumin and peppercorns. Stir in hot pepper paste, cranberries and cranberry juice. Cover pot and let it simmer for about 30 minutes.
Season well, and add sugar, then noodles, and enough broth that the noodles are just covered. Let it cook for about 8 minutes on low heat.
Place on plates and top with some sour cream.
