Corn relish details
- Ingredients
- 1 can whole-kernel corn
- 1 small onion, diced
- 1 Tablespoon green pepper, chopped
- 1 Tablespoon pimento, chopped
- 1/4 cup white vinegar
- 1/2 teaspoon cornstarch
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 1/8 teaspoon turmeric
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/8 teaspoon celery seed
- Dash cayenne pepper
- 1/8 teaspoon black pepper
Drain corn and reserve 1/4 cup liquid. Combine this liquid with remaining ingredients and cook over medium heat about 5 minutes. Remove from heat and add corn. Chill before serving.
