Citrus cake details
- Ingredients:
- 1/2 cup plus 5 Tablespoons butter
- 7 ounces of sugar
- Juice and rind of 1/2 of a lemon
- Juice and rind of 1/2 of an orange
- 1-1/3 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 3 eggs
Cream butter; add sugar and beat until creamy. Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition. Next, add the juices and rinds, then flour and baking powder. Pour into cake pan with hole in the center but not to high. Bake in a preheated 350-degree oven for about 45 minutes. Let cool and frost.
Frosting:Mix together 1 cup powdered sugar, 1 Tablespoon orange juice and 1 Tablespoon lemon juice.
