Warm simple chili that hits the spot during a football game or any other time you really need it.

Ingredients

- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 (28 ounce) can diced tomatoes
- 1 (6 ounce) can tomato paste
- 2 (15 ounce) cans red kidney beans
- 1 (12 ounce) wheat beer
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 stalk celery, diced
- 1 large white onion, diced
- 1 hot chile pepper, minced
- 2 teaspoons beef bouillion
- 2 tablespoons chili powder
- 1 teaspoon teriyaki sauce
- 1 teaspoon cumin
- 1 teaspoon oregano
- 1 teaspoon hot sauce
- 1/2 teaspoon cayenne
- 1/2 teaspoon paprika
- 1/2 teaspoon brown sugar
- Salt and pepper, to taste
Preparation method
Prep: 10 mins | Cook: 2 hours
1. Brown ground beef in skillet over medium heat and drain excess grease, about 10 minutes.
2. Add beef to stock pot with tomatoes in their juice, tomato paste, kidney beans in their juice, and your 12 ounce beer.
3. Add garlic, celery, onion, and chile to stock pot. Mix gently and bring to a simmer with the lid on; simmer for 1 hour.
4. Remove lid and add beef bouilion, chili powder, teriaki sauce, cumin, oregano, hot sauce, basil, cayenne, paprika, and brown sugar.
5. Simmer over low heat with no lid for 1 hour to thicken chili. Salt and pepper to taste.
