Chocolate pate with cranberry coulis recipe details
Ingredients
For Cranberry Coulis Ingredients
1. Ocean Spray Cranberry Juice Cocktail (3/4c)2. Ocean Spray Jellied Cranberry Sauce (1 1/2c)
3. lime juice (1tsp)
Pate Ingredients
1. Egg yolk (1large)2. heavy whipped cream, divided (1 1/2c)
3. light corn soup (1/3c)
4. Nestle toll House semi-sweet Chocolate Morsels (2c about 12 oz package)
5. whipped cream (for decoration)
6. vanilla extract (1tsp)
7. butter or margarine (1/4c about ½ stick)
Method of preparation
1. Take a blender, Put cranberry juice cocktail, cranberry sauce and lime juice in it. Cover it and then blend it until the mixture becomes smooth. 2. Take a baking pan of 8*4 inch, line it with plastic wrap. Take a small bowl, mix egg yolk and ¼ cup of whipping cream in it.3. Take a heavy-duty saucepan of medium size, place it over the lowest heat. Mix corn syrup, morsels and butter in it and heat this mixture until it gets melt. When it gets melt then take off the pan from the heat and stir it.
4. Again place it on heat for few seconds, stir it until it gets smooth. Take off the pan from heat and add cream mixture in it. Cook it by stirring for about 1 minute over medium heat. Then keep it to cool at room temperature.
5. Take a small mixing bowl, beat the rest of the cream and vanilla extract in it until the soft peaks form. Now add the chocolate mixture into the whipped cream and then pour it into the lined pan.
6. Cover the pan with plastic wrap and place it in the refrigerator to freeze for about 3 hours or overnight. When it gets ready then take a serving plate and serve the cranberry Coulis and chocolate pate on it. Decorate it with whipped cream.
