Ingredients
Makes: 32 meatballs- 6 tablespoons hoisin sauce
- 3 tablespoons soy sauce
- 2 tablespoons plus 1 teaspoon sesame oil
- 1/4 cup dry bread crumbs
- 3 tablespoons chopped green onions
- 3 tablespoons minced fresh parsley
- 4 garlic cloves, minced
- 2 teaspoons minced fresh ginger
- 1 1/2 pounds ground beef
- 1/4 cup rice vinegar
- 2 tablespoons water
- 1 tablespoon honey
Preparation method
Prep: 20 mins | Cook: 20 mins1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F and coat a 13×9-inch baking dish with nonstick cooking spray.
2. Gently mix 2 tablespoons hoisin sauce, 1 tablespoon soy sauce, 1 teaspoon sesame oil, bread crumbs, green onions, parsley, 2 garlic cloves minced, and 1 teaspoon ginger. Add beef and combine. Form into 32 meatballs.
3. Arrange meatballs in prepared baking dish. Bake for 20 to 25 minutes, until beef mixture is cooked through and no longer pink inside.
4. While meatballs are baking, in a saucepan, stir together the rice vinegar, remaining 4 tablespoons hoisin sauce, 2 tablespoons water, 2 tablespoons sesame oil, 2 tablespoons soy sauce, honey, the last two garlic cloves minced, and remaining 1 teaspoon ginger.
5. Place saucepan over medium heat and bring to a low boil. Toss with cooked meatballs, then serve.
