Ingredients
700 g | big raw prawns, peeled, deveined, but with tail on |
some | oil for frying |
4 clove(s) | garlic, chopped |
2 | cm ginger, chopped |
2 piece(s) | green chilies, chopped |
4 piece(s) | spring onion, chopped |
For the sauce: | |
½ tsp | cornstarch |
2 tbsp | soy sauce |
2 tsp | sugar |
1 tbsp | rice wine |
1 tbsp | ketchup |
Instructions
Wash the prawns and add a pinch of salt. Mix the ingredients for the sauce.
Heat some oil in a wok and add the Prawns. Cook on high heat for a very short time, just until they turn red. If you cook them too long they get rubbery.
Add ginger, garlic and chilies, mix well. Then add the sauce and cook for 1 minute.
Serve on a plate decorated with springonion. Best eaten with white rice.
