Chicken with garlic sauce recipe details
Ingredients
1 kg | chicken thighs, or 4 breast fillets |
4 clove(s) | garlic, crushed |
250 ml | lemon juice |
60 ml | olive oil |
1 tsp | sea salt |
1 bulb(s) | garlic, peeled |
250 ml | olive oil |
2 tbsp | lemon juice |
2 tsp | water |
1 | egg yolk |
Instructions
Marinade:Combine the crushed garlic, lemon juice, olive oil and salt.Chicken:Place the chicken in a large bowl and pour the marinade over the chicken. Cover tightly and refrigerate at least 3 hours or over night. Turn the chicken occasionally.
Drain the chicken and discard the marinade. Grill or barbecue the chicken until it is browned all over and cooked through.
Garlic sauce: Blend garlic, egg yolk, water and lemon juice until well combined. Gradually pour the olive oil in (with the blender or mixer still running!) and process until thick. Serve the chicken with the garlic sauce, salad and some warmed bread.
