Chicken paprikash recipe details
Ingredients
1 | young chicken, ready to cook, jointed into 8 pieces |
1 tbsp | mild paprika powder |
hot paprika powder, to taste | |
salt and freshly ground black pepper | |
50 g | butter |
1 | onion, sliced |
500 g | red bell peppers, diced |
300 ml | chicken stock |
250 | sour cream |
Instructions
Rub the chicken pieces with salt, pepper and mild paprika powder.In a pan heat the butter and fry the onions until yellowish. Add the meat and fry for 8-10 minutes, turning occasionally. Add the stock, cover and steam until the meat is cooked through. Add the bell peppers and cook for another 5 minutes. Season to taste with salt, pepper and paprika powder and cook for another 2 minutes.
Ladle into warmed soup plates and serve garnished with a dollop of sour cream.
