Chicken in pastry recipe details
- Ingredients – Filling:
- 1-1/2 chicken breast, cooked and cubed
- One 8-ounce package cream cheese
- 1/4 cup milk
- 2 teaspoons chives, fresh or dried
- 1 package crescent rolls (Pillsbury)
- Ingredients – Sauce:
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 2 Tablespoons cornstarch
- 1 cup chicken stock
- 2 Tablespoons butter
Filling:Combine first four ingredients. Unwrap crescent rolls and separate, stretching slightly. Put two Tablespoons filling in pastry and wrap folding corners under, pinching edges to seal. Bake at 350 degree for 20 minutes until golden brown.
Sauce:Melt butter. Add cornstarch. Stir until smooth. Add cream and stock. Cook over medium heat until thickened. Serve sauce over bundles.
