Chicken in gorgonzola sauce recipe details
Ingredients
2 | chicken breasts, boneless, skinless, cut into chunks |
230 g | Gorgonzola cheese, crumbled |
4 clove(s) | garlic, chopped |
1 large | onion, chopped |
1 tbsp | butter |
1 tbsp | olive oil |
juice of 1 lemon | |
240 ml | dry white wine |
240 ml | chicken broth |
120 ml | single cream |
salt and pepper, to taste | |
fresh basil, chopped | |
500 g | pasta |
Instructions
Heat skillet over medium heat and add chicken, onion, butter and garlic. Sauté chicken until golden brown.Add white wine and deglaze. Add lemon juice and bring to a simmer. Add chicken broth and continue cooking on a simmer.
Start cooking the pasta in slightly salted water until al dente. Drain.
Stir in the cream to the chicken. Reduce heat and add Gorgonzola cheese. Stir basil and allow sauce to thicken.
Mix sauce and pasta together and serve on individual plates.
