Chicken breast with walnut sauce recipe details
Ingredients
For the meat: | |
4 | chicken breast fillets, 125g each |
1 tsp | vegetable oil |
salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste | |
¼ cup(s) | chicken stock |
For the sauce: | |
100 g | walnuts |
200 g | yoghurt |
1 pinch(es) | cayenne pepper or 1 dried jalape˝o pepper |
1 tsp | honey |
Instructions
Wash the chicken breast fillets and pat them dry.Heat oil in a pan and gently sautee the fillets from both sides, season with salt and pepper and pour in the chicken stock. Cover and cook over medium heat for 8-12 minutes.
Chop the walnuts. Mix in a bowl the yoghurt with half of the nuts and season to taste with salt, cayenne pepper and honey. Transfer into a food processor and mix well. Pour the sauce in the pan, stir carefully and season to taste. Stir in the roughly chopped walnuts.
Remove the fillets from the pan, wrap in kitchen foil and allow to set for some minutes.
Cut the fillets in slices and serve with the sauce and boiled potatoes or crispy baguette with salad.
