Instructions
Sieve the flour and baking powder together and mix well. Then add in the margarine with the flour to form a crumbly mixture. Add the cheese, and then add water to make stiff dough.Divide the dough into 6-7 equal portions and roll on a floured surface into a circle about 1cm thick.
Use a pizza cutter or a very sharp knife to cut the circle into thick strips.
Heat oil in a large pan. Deep fry the dough stripes until they are a light golden brown. Drain on paper towels and allow to cool. Store in an airtight container.
