Charcoal chicken legs recipe details
They may look like charcoal on a stick when done, but try it before you throw it out. Only a charcoal grill can do these legs justice.

Ingredients
Serves: 3- 3 tablespoons garlic
- 3 tablespoons ginger
- 6 tablespoons cilantro
- 6 tablespoons cracked black pepper
- 2 cup soy sauce
- 1 cup oil
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 9 chicken legs
Preparation method
Prep: 2 hours 15 mins | Cook: 15 mins1. To prepare the spice rub, mince fresh garlic, ginger, and cilantro, and combine with black pepper.
2. To prepare the glaze, mix soy sauce, vegetable oil and sugar in small bowl.
3. Poke holes in chicken legs and rub liberally with seasoning.
4. Place in sealed container adding remaining rub on top.
5. Refrigerate for 2-24 hours.
6. Remove chicken from container and place on preheated charcoal grill.
7. Gently glaze chicken with oil, soy, and sugar using a brush.
8. Cover grill and let cook. Oil will drip on coals and create smoke, this is good.
9. Rotate legs and glaze again.
10. Repeat glaze and rotate every few minutes until the chicken is tender. It may look dark and burnt, however it will be extremely tender.
