Ingredients

750 g chicken breast, diced
125 g prunes, stones removed
2 tbsp oil
450 ml chicken stock
3  tomatoes, peeled and diced
salt and pepper
2 tsp honey
1 tbsp freshly grated ginger
50 g raisins
1 pinch(es) curcuma
1 pinch(es) saffron
150 ml water
1 stick(s) cinnamon
3 tbsp sesame seed, roasted

Instructions

Fry the chicken in oil until golden and crispy. Add the tomatoes, cinnamon and the stock. Season with salt and pepper. Bring to a boil. Reduce the heat, cover and simmer for 5 minutes.

In a saucepan, combine the water, prunes, honey, ginger, raisins and the saffron. Cook over low heat until the prunes are soft.

With a slotted spoon take the chicken out of the sauce and arrange on preheated serving plates and keep warm. Bring the sauce to a boil and cook until slightly thickened. Stir in the prune mixture and bring to a short boil again. Season to taste with salt, pepper and curcuma.

Pour the sauce over the chicken and sprinkle with sesame seed. Serve with rice.
