- Salt and pepper
- 1 pound penne pasta
- 2 tablespoons flour
- 1 cup chicken stock
- 1 cup whole milk
- 1/4 teaspoon dry mustard (or 1 tablespoon prepared mustard), to tast
- 3/4 pound cheddar cheese, shredded
Preparation method
Prep: 25 mins | Cook: 20 mins1. Place half of the butter in a large skillet and set over medium-high heat. Cook onions, thyme, and bay leaf in melted butter for about 5 minutes, then add salt and pepper to taste and turn heat down to low. Cook for another 15 minutes until onions are well browned.
