Caramel overnight french toast recipe details
- Ingredients
- 1 stick (1/2 cup) butter
- 2 Tablespoon light corn syrup(Karosyrup)
- 1 cup packed brown sugar
- 8 to 10 slices (1-1/2 inches thick) day-old French bread
- 5 eggs
- 1 cup milk
- 1/2 cup coffee cream
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
Melt butter over medium heat. Stir in corn syrup and brown sugar until well blended. Pour into a 9 x 13-inch glass baking dish coated with non-stick cooking spray. Press bread into sugar mixture. In a blender, combine eggs, milk, coffee cream, vanilla, and nutmeg. Pour over bread and refrigerate overnight.
The next day, take out of refrigerator and bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes.
