Cameron house inn granola recipe details
- Ingredients
- 9-1/2 cups of rolled oats
- 1 cup wheat germ
- 1/2 to 1 pound shredded coconut
- 2 cups raw sesame seeds
- 3 cups any combination almonds, pecans, or walnuts
- 1-1/2 cups brown sugar
- 1-1/2 cups water
- 1-1/2 cups vegetable oil
- 1/2 cup honey
- 1/2 cup molasses
- 1-1/4 teaspoon salt
- 2 teaspoons cinnamon
- 3 teaspoons vanilla
Blend oats, wheat germ, shredded coconut, sesame seeds, and nuts well in a large bowl; set aside. In a large sauce pan over low heat, combine remaining ingredients until well mixed. Pour over oat mix and combine well. Spread a thin layer on baking sheet. Bake 30 minutes at 300 degrees. Cool and add any dried fruit you wish. Keeps well for up to 5 months in an airtight container.
