Cabbage rolls stuffed with minced meat recipe details
|1||white cabbage, leaves separated|
|500 g||minced meat|
|salt and freshly ground black pepper|
|600 ml||vegetable stock|
InstructionsIn a large Pot bring water to the boil and place in the cabbage. Cook for 8 minutes, then take out the cabbage and allow to cool a bit. Peel off 8 large leaves and set aside. Chop the remaining cabbage.
Mix the minced meat with 1/4 of one apple, onion, egg and mustard. Season with salt and pepper. Shape into 4 balls and flatten the balls slightly. Put always two cabbage leaves together and wrap the meat balls with the 2 leaves. Tie with kitchen yarn.
In a saucepan, heat 2 tablespoons of the oil. Fry the cabbage rolls un til browned all around. Take the rolls out of the pan and set aside. Add the remaining cabbage into the pan and stir-fry for 2-3 minutes. Season with salt and pepper. Pour in the stock and return the cabbage rolls. Cover and cook over low heat for 40-60 minutes.
Serve with boiled potatoes.
