Broccoli sausage roll ups recipe details
- Ingredients
- One 1-pound package Italian sausage
- 1 medium onion, chopped
- 1 package frozen chopped broccoli
- 3 packages crescent rolls
- 1 egg, beaten
Men really love these. Takes a little time, but it’s well worth the effort!
Remove sausage from casing, break up, and saute with onion in olive oil until cooked. Add thawed chopped broccoli (squeeze out excess liquid) to mixture and heat together.
Separate each triangle (8 in each package) of crescent rolls and roll out until thin. Cut in half. Place about 1 teaspoon meat/broccoli mixture on top of rolled dough. Roll up to form a crescent. Brush with egg wash. Arrange on ungreased cookie sheet. Bake at 375 degrees for about 8 minutes or until light brown. Serve warm.
Makes: 16 roll-ups per package.
