Braised sweatheart cabbage with potatoes recipe details
Ingredients
750 g | sweetheart cabbage, sliced |
2 | onions, chopped |
2 cm | horseradish, grated |
2 tbsp | butter |
250 ml | vegetable stock |
2 tbsp | mustard |
salt and freshly ground black pepper | |
1 kg | potatoes, peeled and cut into 2cm cubes |
Instructions
Cook the potatoes in salted water until done.In a saucepan melt the butter. Sauté the onions until lucent. Add the cabbage and the stock. Cover and cook until the cabbage has wilted. Season to taste with salt, pepper, mustard and horseradish and cook the cabbage covered for 3 more minutes.
Drain the potatoes, add to the cabbage and toss until well distributed. Serve immediately.
Goes well with fried fish or meat.
