Braised lamb shanks recipe details
Ingredients
4 | lamb shanks |
2 tbsp | butter |
150 ml | beef stock |
3 tbsp | wine vinegar |
1 medium | onion, chopped |
salt and pepper, to taste |
Instructions
Brown the shanks in a large skillet in butter. Transfer the meat to a baking dish and arrange it in a single layer.Combine stock, vinegar and onion. Mix well and pour over the shanks. Season with salt and pepper. Cover the pan and braise the shanks in the preheated oven at 175°C/350°F for 2 hours or until the meat is tender.
