This Chinese favorite, fresh in the late summer, shines in this easy stir fry recipe.

Ingredients

Serves: 4
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon oyster sauce
  • 1 teaspoon minced fresh ginger
  • 1 teaspoon rice vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon toasted sesame oil
  • 1/2 teaspoon honey
  • 1/4 teaspoon chili garlic paste
  • 1 teaspoon canola oil
  • 4 ounces shiitake mushrooms, stemmed
  • 4 baby bok choy, halved lengthwise
  • 1/4 teaspoon toasted sesame seeds

Preparation method

Prep: 10 mins | Cook: 5 mins

1. In a bowl, stir together the soy sauce, oyster sauce, ginger, rice vinegar, toasted sesame oil, honey, and chili garlic paste.
2. Pour canola oil into a large skillet over high heat. Cook mushrooms and bok choy in hot oil, covered, for about 4 minutes. Flip the vegetables midway through cooking.
3. Drizzle with sauce mixture and simmer to thicken for about 1 minute. Garnish with sesame seeds and serve.
