Ingredients

60 g sugar
1 tsp cornstarch
1 large nectarine, peeled, pitted, cut into small pieces
300 g blackberries
50 g flour
½ tsp baking powder
¼ tsp salt
2 ½ tbsp butter, unsalted
60 ml milk
2 tbsp almonds, sliced

Instructions

Preheat oven to 200°C..

Stir together sugar and cornstarch, add fruit and combine well.

In another bowl whisk together flour, baking powder, and salt and butter. Blend mixture well and then stir in milk, stirring until you have a soft dough.

Butter a baking dish and spread fruit mixture inside. Drop dough onto it in 4 mounds.

Sprinkle with almonds and bake for 20 minutes or until top is golden.
