Ingredients
Makes: 30 Stuffed Habaneros- 30 Habanero peppers
- 1 lb Sweet Italian Sausage
- 1/2 lb Hot Italian Sausage
- 1 Large Green Pepper
- 1/2 cup Minute rice
- 26 oz. Jar Dellallo’s(tm) Roasted Garlic Marinara Sauce
- 3 Small Onions
- 2 tsp Garlic Powder
- 1 tsp Black Pepper
- 1/4 cup Sriracha Hot Sauce
Preparation method
Prep: 20 mins | Cook: 45 mins1. Clean and cut a vertical slit in Habaneros, remove seeds.
2. Cook Minute Rice according to directions.
3. Mix the two types of Ground Sausage, adding cooked Rice.
4. Stuff Sausage and Rice mixture into Habanero Peppers.
5. Pre-Heat oven to 380 degrees.
6. Dice large Green Pepper.
7. Chop Onions
8. Add Green Pepper, chopped Onion, Sriracha, Garlic Powder and Black Pepper to Marina Sauce and slowly bring to simmering over low heat.
9. Pour an inch of heated Sauce mix into glass casserole dish, covering the bottom.
10. Add Stuffed Habaneros and any leftover Sausage/Pepper/Onion mix to casserole dish.
11. Pour remainder of heated Marinara Sauce into casserole dish over Habaneros, covering as much as possible.
12. Cover casserole with aluminum foil.
13. Heat in oven for 45 minutes.
14. Allow to cool for 5 minutes.Alternate method
Stuff the Habaneros as before, prepare Marinara Sauce as before, heat in crock pot for 6 hours or more.
